Catherine A. McDivitt, RD, LDN

Cathy was brought up in a Polish-American home in the Detroit Area with an appreciation of ethnic foods and culinary masterpieces. Her studies began at Michigan State University with the motive of investigating if the foods her "Busia" said were good for her and made her "strong and healthy" could be scientifically validated. After attaining her Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition she headed for the west coast to begin a one year dietetic internship at Wadsworth Veterans Hospital in Los Angeles. She has maintained her Registered Dietitian (RD) status for over 25 years. She also attained the credentials - "certified nutrition support dietitian" and "certified renal specialists" during her career.

Cathy has worked in many dietetic specialty areas. In addition to hospital work, she also worked at the Lipid Research Clinic, in rehabilitation at the VA Spinal Cord Injury Unit, and the last 10 years at the Dialysis Clinics, Inc. in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She is licensed in Pennsylvania as a LDN, licensed dietitian-nutritionist. Cathy joined us in September 2003 and offers pro-active nutritional counseling adjunctive to the nephrologist specialty practice.
